Some of the renowned institutions in India are JN TATA Endowment, Aga Khan Foundation, Inlaks Scholarships, KC Mahindra Education Trust etc. However, the terms and conditions of the institutions may vary. For example, in JN TATA endowment, students should re-pay 4 years after scholarship being granted or getting employment, whichever is earlier. Overseas aids are also available, depending upon the course and the university. ph.D students get paid in the form of tuition Waivers, insurance, subsidised housing etc

   How to obtain Educational Loans?

Apart from scholarships and other Aids, students could get educational loans from banks. Some of the renowned banks in India are SBI, Punjab National Bank(PNB), Canara Bank, ICICI etc. Banks offer loans for all educational courses but the T&C are stringent for overseas educational loans. You may be required to offer collateral in the form of Collateral-Fixed deposits, National Savings certificate(NSC), insurance policy, House etc. A co-borrower may also be required. Loans are generally capped at Rs. 20 lakh. However, it you are able to secure an alternative means to fund your studies, you may choose to cancel the bank loan. Generally, banks would release the funds only upon request from the student to do so. While applying for loans, find out whether the bank applies simple interest or compound interest. Also, remember that it's better to repay the interest amount during the period of studies itself, else the interest would build up on the principal amount, in order words, you may need to pay interest on interest
